Barry Röhrs – Director
About Our Founder – Barry Röhrs
Barry Röhrs is a seasoned executive with over twenty-five years of combined experience in the finance industry and in banking operations.
Barry led and managed Cash Operations at Standard Bank for eleven years, fulfilling a variety of roles within Standard Bank's cash business from 2006 to 2017. In this capacity Barry had full strategic and operational control as well as responsibility for Standard Bank’s cash supply chain. Additionally, during this time he worked actively in various executive forums across the South African cash industry.
Prior to his involvement with cash operations at Standard Bank, Barry was the Chief Financial Officer of an aviation and geophysical survey services group, Fugro Airborne Surveys, which caters to the mining industry in South Africa. He has also held positions at Sappi in both South Africa and the UK, helping to expand the business with its global pulp and paper operations.
Education:
Barry completed his undergraduate and honours degrees in Commerce at the University of Natal. He is a certified Chartered Management Accountant (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and holds a Masters Degree in Financial Management from the University of Johannesburg.
Barry’s skill set includes strategy and business development expertise with specific focus on the cash industry. Barry currently coordinates the Röhrs & Associates team.
